  • Plat Douet PTA

At Plat Douet, we are proud to have a vibrant, dedicated and supportive Parent Teacher Association (PTA). All parents and carers automatically become members of the PTA as soon as their child joins the school.

    What Is the PTA?

The PTA works in partnership with the school to organise a wide range of events and activities, both social and fundraising, that benefit all our pupils. From school discos and cake sales to larger events like fairs and raffles, the PTA helps create special experiences and raise valuable funds to support the school.

    How It’s Run

An Annual General Meeting is held each September, where a new PTA Committee is elected. The committee is made up of:

    • Parent/carer representatives (usually one from each class)
    • Teachers
    • The Headteacher

Each year, a Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer are also appointed. The committee meets around three times each term to plan and organise events and agree on how funds raised will be used to support the school and its pupils.

    Get Involved

Whether you have lots of time or just a little, your help is always welcome! Supporting the PTA is a great way to get to know other families, be part of school life and make a real difference to the children.
